Phuket
Pronounced: poo-ket. In hindsight, Lindsay and I agree we would have skipped this island. We met some cool people at our hostel, but all in all, Phuket is an expensive tourist trap filled with constantly intoxicated travelers. If you want more details about why you should skip Phuket on your next trip, I'm happy to chat about it. Highlight: James Bond Island named after The Man with the Golden Gun was filmed there.
Koh Phi Phi
Pronounced ko pee pee. Phi Phi was much more enjoyable than Phuket right from the start. Being a small island, you can essentially walk everywhere. The day we arrived by ferry the weather was beautiful, but unfortunately didn't last, which meant Maya Bay was closed the rest of the time we were in Phi Phi.
Must dos: Befriend an Australian girl on the ferry
Get a bucket and play beer pong
Walk to the viewpoint by the Arboreal Resort for sunset
Walk to Long Beach and swim there (not where the beach bars are)
Go to a beach bar for music and get glow painted
Go to Maya Bay and tell me how it is!

Krabi
Not the most exciting place, so we spent less than 24 hours here. We stayed at the Hogwarts Hostel, which showed Harry Potter downstairs at night! The dorms have cupboards and curtains like the dorms and train in the books.
For food we ate at the same place two blocks from our hostel three times- it was that good. May and Marks had great Tom Yum soup, tofu sandwiches and Nutella banana toast.
Our only excursion was a 1260 step climb to the Tiger Cave Temple. It was a huge uphill trek, with uneven steps, but the views were worth the sweat. I think I've climbed enough mountains and steps at this point in our trip that my fear of heights is nearly nonexistent- win!

Koh Tao
I had a feeling this would be my favorite island.
Must dos:
Snorkeling tour for a whole day (we went through Diamond Tour and liked that we had 4 snorkeling opportunities.
Rent a scooter and ride down to Freedom Beach, climb the John Suwan viewpoint (preferably not in flip flops) and enjoy the best view that we saw on the island. Then end your time on the Taa Toh beach next to Freedom Beach.
Koh Tao Pub Crawl and ladyboy show
